This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to every company and every person on PinkLinq. Companies are responsible for what their people do.
Don't use PinkLinq to
- Break the law, or help anyone else break it, including employment, privacy, and anti-discrimination law.
- Harm people. No harassment, threats, stalking, hate speech, or content that sexualizes or exploits children. Use chat and updates as you'd speak at work.
- Track people without telling them. Don't use the location features on anyone who hasn't been told, or to follow anyone outside work.
- Spy on people. Don't add someone's account to see their messages, or use PinkLinq to collect information for purposes they haven't been told about.
- Impersonate someone, or lie about who you are or who you work for. Don't sign in with someone else's PIN or clock in for someone else.
- Falsify records. Don't change hours, signatures or documents to hide what really happened, or to underpay anyone.
- Infringe rights. Upload only what you have the right to use.
- Send spam. Don't use updates, invitations or anything else to message people who aren't part of your team.
- Spread harm. No malware, phishing links, or files meant to damage systems.
- Store things that don't belong here: Social Security numbers, bank or card numbers, health records, biometric data, or information about children under 16.
Don't do this to the Service
- Probe, scan or test it for weaknesses without our written permission, apart from the good-faith research our security page describes.
- Get around sign-in, limits, plan restrictions or module switches, including by opening extra companies to stay on the Free plan.
- Use more than your share: overloading the Service, or ignoring API rate limits.
- Scrape it, or use robots on it, other than through the API.
- Reverse engineer it, copy it or resell it, or use it to build a competing product.
- Sign in to someone else's company, or try to reach data that isn't yours.
- Rely on it for emergencies or anything where a failure could put someone's life at risk. Call emergency services.
What we do about it
We don't read your messages or files to look for problems, and we have no duty to monitor. When something comes to our attention, including from a report, we may look at the facts we need to look at, and then:
- ask you to fix it
- remove the content, or stop a module for your company
- sign out or turn off access for a person
- pause the company, or close it where the problem is serious
- report it to the police or another authority where we believe the law requires it or someone is in danger
We'll tell you what we did, and why, when we can and when it's safe to, and we'll use the least we need to stop the problem. Suspensions are covered in section 11 of the Terms of Service.
Reporting a problem
To report misuse, use support@pinklinq.com and tell us what happened and where. If it's about your own workplace, your employer may be the right first step.
